Bath repair in Braich-talog

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. There is no area surcharge for Braich-talog. What changes the price is:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Unusual colours or finishes

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send pictures for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

Most customers in Braich-talog get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Bath repair in Braich-talog, done in place

Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a repair that is smooth, sound and hard to spot. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. Whether it’s a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and rust spots around the plughole, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit.

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

Your questions about bath repair in Braich-talog

What areas do you cover?

The whole UK, including all of Gwynedd. Send your postcode with your photos and we will offer you dates.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Do I have to be there?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?

Normally, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a photo.

Do you work in Braich-talog?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Braich-talog from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

Can you fix rust around the plughole?

Yes, very frequently. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.

What does bath repair cost?

Prices start from £95. We give a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up and a picture of the entire item with your LL57 postcode.

What happens next?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

Different materials, different repairs

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

What we can’t put right

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel

Repair or replace: which is better?

Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. A repair keeps it in place. Prices start from £95. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why book with us

  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • No need to remove anything
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Colour mixed on the day to match

Aftercare tips

It’s all simple stuff, just a few sensible habits:

  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
  • A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Do not leave a fresh chip for long

Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.

If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath until it’s repaired. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.

Can I fix it myself?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

How it works

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we are doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and the work begins. Allow a morning or an afternoon, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Getting a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
