About our bath repair in Brundall

We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the day after. We’re frequently asked to fix rust by the waste and overflow and snagging damage from a refit, on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and pressed steel enamel.

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Typically it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it. Our bath repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

The process

Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a few hours, depending on the damage, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let us know about parking or access

How to get a price

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Questions from Brundall

How invisible is a bath repair?

On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.

When can I have a bath again?

Most baths can be used the next day. We confirm the time before we leave.

Will you leave a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Do you come to Brundall?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Brundall and the rest of Norfolk. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Is there a call-out fee?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Can you match an avocado or pink bath?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including pastel and older colours.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Honest limits

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Work for landlords and builders

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Brundall use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.

When to call us in Brundall

Rust usually starts where water sits, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
  • A chipped rim or side
  • Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
  • Impact holes in acrylic

Choosing a repair company

Looking after it afterwards

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:

  • Give the bath a quick rinse after use
  • Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
  • Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale

Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.

Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.

Different materials, different repairs

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Can I fix it myself?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
