Need bath repair in Church Stretton?

Bath repair in Church Stretton without replacing anything

You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day. We work on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel, and people most frequently call us about a cracked acrylic bath and holes from dropped items.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it.

Repair or replace: which is better?

For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Why Church Stretton customers choose us

  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • One visit for most repairs

When a repair is not the answer

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
  • Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding

What affects the price in Church Stretton

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:

  • Access to the area
  • How much damage there is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Church Stretton. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What happens on the day

We work cleanly and quietly. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a morning or an afternoon. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. We match both the colour and the shine.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.

How to prepare

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

How to get a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Cast iron

Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Church Stretton

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Church Stretton as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Aftercare tips

After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:

  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale

A repaired bath needs no special treatment, just sensible cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams and give it a rinse after each bath.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

Church Stretton: your questions answered

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Frequently, if there’s access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

What happens after I send photos?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote.

Can rust on a bath be repaired?

Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?

Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
