Bath repair in Culbokie without replacing anything
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. Each material is repaired a little differently: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. We work on cast iron enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel, and the jobs we see most are chips on the rim or sides and chips caused by builders.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Culbokie: your questions answered
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
What information do you need?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes, we do this often. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Will the repair show?
The goal is a repair that blends in. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a few hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Make sure the area is dry
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
Getting a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How hard the colour is to match
- What the surface is made of
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Culbokie. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from photos
You can take the pictures on your phone. Just ensure we can see:
- A picture taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Natural light rather than flash
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
When we would advise against a repair
A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
Why repair rather than replace?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
Why book with us
- No extra charge for your area
- No need to remove anything
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Signs you need bath repair in Culbokie
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On enamelled baths, a chip that reaches the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
The things customers usually mention when they call are:
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Holes from dropped items
- Chips along the edge of the bath
Questions to ask before booking
- Who will actually do the work
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How the room is protected while they work
Looking after it afterwards
To keep it looking its best:
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Care for the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
