What a repair cannot fix
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Cast iron enamel
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding

Bath repair in Durdar, done in place
Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a repair that’s smooth, sound and hard to spot. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. Typical jobs include chips caused by builders and hairline or through cracks in acrylic, in whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and cast iron enamel.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

Common questions in Durdar
Do you work in Durdar?
We do. Repair technicians travel to Durdar from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You get a fixed quote and available dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
Do you charge for travel?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Can you redo an old repair?
Regularly. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
What happens if you find more damage?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.
How to look after the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
Do not leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. And fix dripping taps promptly.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.
What your bath is made of matters
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Work for landlords and builders
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Cumbria and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Do you need bath repair in Durdar?
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
Most people get in touch when they notice something like this:
- A cracked acrylic bath
- A chipped rim or side
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.

Why repair rather than replace?
A new bath costs more than the bath itself: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
