Need bath repair in Exton?

Bath repair in Exton, done in place

Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a repair that’s smooth, sound and hard to spot. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it’s level with the surrounding surface. Our technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and cast iron enamel, and the jobs we see most are rusty patches near the plughole and impact holes in acrylic.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Do you need bath repair in Exton?

Glass and heavy bottles cause more chips than anything else, closely followed by shower heads. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • Chips under the taps

10 questions to ask before booking

What your bath is made of matters

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.

Cast iron

A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is what we repair.

What a repair can’t fix

A repair is not right for every job, for example:

  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic

DIY repairs versus a professional job

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

The process

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes two to three hours for most chips in most cases. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. Once it has cured, generally by the following day, the bath is ready to use.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

How to care for the repair

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
  • Store metal items away from the bath
  • Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth

Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust sets in.

Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.

Exton: your questions answered

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?

Most of the time. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so access behind the panel is important.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.

How much does bath repair cost in Exton?

Prices start from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes, we match coloured baths too. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Usually. Send us a picture of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.

Are there extra charges for Exton?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Repair or replace in Exton?

Replacing a fitted bath typically means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and disposing of the old one. A repair deals only with the damage in a single visit. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

What affects the price in Exton

Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to Exton. The price comes down to:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Doing more than one item at once

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed quote

You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
