What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Glenboig. The price depends on:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The material
- How hard the colour is to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Glenboig. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from pictures
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
To get a price, send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will say immediately whether it can be repaired.
Bath repair in Glenboig without replacing anything
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. The method changes with the material: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. We regularly repair acrylic, cast iron enamel and whirlpool & spa baths, and the jobs we see most are a chip where the taps sit and impact holes in acrylic.
You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we’ll arrange it.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.
How it works
From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a few hours, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Clear the area around the damage
- Have a window or extractor fan available
How to get a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

When to call us in Glenboig
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- A failed DIY repair that is discoloured or lifting
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- Damage beneath the taps
Questions to ask before you book
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Who will actually do the work
- What preparation is included
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
Why repair rather than replace?
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. In most cases it doesn’t: a proper repair gives it years more use, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it. Our bath repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- Typically one visit, start to finish
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- Work done at your home or business
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
Read our pricing or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.
How to care for the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Don’t leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.
DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
What we can’t put right
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
