About our bath repair in Hampton
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. The method changes with the material: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. We regularly repair whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and common reasons people contact us are damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and cracks in an acrylic bath.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Hampton as everywhere else we work.

Hampton: your questions answered
Is a bath repair permanent?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps it last.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
What areas do you cover?
All of Worcestershire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Signs you need bath repair in Hampton
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal will start to rust.
Most people get in touch when they notice one of these:
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Holes from dropped items
- Rust spots around the plughole

When a repair isn’t the answer
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Repair or replace in Hampton?
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, lifting out the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and disposing of the old one. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why us?
- Usually one visit, start to finish
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- Fixed prices from your photos
- No extra charge for your area
Read our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.
Keeping it looking good
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Rinse it down after each bath
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine.
If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
How it works
You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take two to three hours for most chips, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- Once it has cured, generally by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
How to get a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
