How we handle bath repair in Lanark
A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Typical jobs include impact holes in acrylic and a chipped rim or side, across roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and acrylic.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Questions from Lanark
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed price, generally with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.
How invisible is a bath repair?
We aim for a repair you cannot easily find. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference, and we’ll tell you what to expect.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
When can you do it?
We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
When can I have a bath again?
Normally within a day, though it depends on what we have done.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Keeping it looking good
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.
Signs you need bath repair in Lanark
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- A chip where the taps sit
- A hole punched through by something heavy
- Snagging damage from a refit

Repair or replace in Lanark?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. A repair skips all of it. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Why Lanark clients choose us

- One visit for most repairs

Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
How it works
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. You can expect it to take two to three hours for most chips.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can normally use the bath the day after.
How to prepare
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
How to get a price
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.

What we can’t put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What affects the price in Lanark
Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Quotes from your photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- What it’s made of, if you know
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A photo taken from further back
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
