Repairing versus replacing in Leeds
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim typically crack when it comes out, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Our bath repair starts from £95. Compared with replacing, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Why Leeds clients choose us

About our bath repair in Leeds
Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a repair that’s smooth, sound and hard to spot. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. Common call-outs are for a chipped rim or side and a cracked acrylic bath, on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and cast iron enamel.
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
How to care for the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.
When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

How it works
Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
How to get a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Common problems we fix in Leeds
Damage during fitting is very common. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, often before anyone notices. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Chips caused by builders
- Damage beneath the taps
- A chipped rim or side
- Impact holes in acrylic
What your quote should include
- How to look after the finish
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- Who will actually do the work
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Leeds
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit.
