Bath repair at your home in Llanrhos

Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it’s level with the surrounding surface. We work on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are rust by the waste and overflow and damage done while the bathroom was being fitted.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

Bath enamel chip by the waste, filled and colour matched (before and after)

When a repair isn’t the answer

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • Metal that has corroded all the way through
  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding

What we are called out for in Llanrhos

Most bath damage comes from something dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On enamelled baths, a chip that reaches the metal lets water in, and rust follows.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • Rusty patches near the plughole
  • Chips along the edge of the bath
  • Cracks in an acrylic bath

Our hiring checklist

Repair or replace: which is better?

When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the entire surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Llanrhos. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why Llanrhos clients choose us

Aftercare tips

How the surface is treated afterwards matters:

  • Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth

Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, because they can mark the enamel. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.

Small chips are quick to repair. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so early repair saves time and money.

Llanrhos questions

How invisible is a bath repair?

On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.

Will the repair last?

Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

How soon can you come?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Llanrhos. What changes the price is:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How many areas need work

Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Getting a price from photos

Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Send us a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, with your LL30 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

The process

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It generally takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the following day, the bath is ready to use.

How to prepare

  • Open a window if you can
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Advice

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Cast iron

Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, so it’s always worth repairing.
