About our bath repair in Llantysilio

Repairing baths is what we do most. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all repaired in place, usually in a single visit. We work on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are impact holes in acrylic and chips along the edge of the bath.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Llantysilio as everywhere else we work.

Common questions in Llantysilio

Do you work in Llantysilio?

We do. Technicians travel to Llantysilio from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

Will there be a smell?

There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Generally. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

How long does the repair take to cure?

Normally by the following day, depending on the repair.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Different materials, different repairs

Cast iron

Cast iron is heavy and rigid, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Llantysilio

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

What we are called out for in Llantysilio

Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: the bath is not properly supported, so it flexes under weight.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • A chipped rim or side
  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • A kit repair that didn’t last

How to compare quotes

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material
  • How much damage there is

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Send pictures for a quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your LL20 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Repair or replace in Llantysilio?

People frequently assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Usually it does not: a proper repair gives it years more use, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Prices start from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

What you get with us

How to care for the repair

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
  • Get any new chip repaired before it rusts

Do not leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, because they can mark the enamel. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.

Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.

How it works

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes a few hours, depending on the damage. We clean up when we are done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, normally the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Ask for a price

You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Advice

Honest limits

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:

  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
