Need bath repair in Lower Nyland?

Bath repair in Lower Nyland without replacing anything

Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. If you are dealing with impact holes in acrylic and rust spots around the plughole, we can help, on pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding alike.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will sort it.

Rusty chip next to a bath plughole, before and after repair

Common questions in Lower Nyland

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.

Will it make a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Can you match an avocado or pink bath?

Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.

Does someone need to be in?

We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.

Is a bath repair permanent?

It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.

Can you redo an old repair?

Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send photos.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Keeping it looking good

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
  • Give the bath a quick rinse after use
  • Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
  • Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it

Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.

Honest limits

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • What the surface is made of

Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Send pictures for a quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath
  • Details of any past repairs
  • The material, if you know it

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Signs you need bath repair in Lower Nyland

Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.

Contact us if you’ve noticed:

  • Snagging damage from a refit
  • Chips under the taps
  • Chips on the rim or sides
  • Rusty patches near the plughole

10 questions to ask before you book

Can I fix it myself?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What we do, step by step

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
  4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
  5. We leave it to cure; you can typically use the bath the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Related advice

What your bath is made of matters

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.

Pressed steel

Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.

Repair or replace in Lower Nyland?

A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
