Bath Repair in Minions
We travel to Minions for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Nothing is taken out, and the work is guaranteed.
- Repairs from £95
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Chips on the rim or sides

What we do, step by step
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage, and we will tell you if anything changes.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the day after.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Advice
Bath repair at your home in Minions
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. Typical jobs include holes from dropped items and chips along the edge of the bath, across pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and acrylic.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Aftercare tips
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Do not leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
Repair or replace in Minions?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- The colour and finish to match
- What the surface is made of
- How easy the damage is to reach
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
Two or three clear photos are normally enough. It helps if you send:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- What it’s made of, if you know
There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
FAQs for Minions
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.
Do you cover Minions?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Minions and the rest of Cornwall. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Is a bath repair durable?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It carries our one-year guarantee.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Will the repair show?
On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
Can you price it without visiting?
Nearly always. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
What does bath repair cost?
Repairs from £95. Every job gets a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.
