Bath repair at your home in Newcastle Great Park

Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and the bath is back in use the day after. You will not need a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. Common call-outs are for a chipped rim or side and holes from dropped items, on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking.

FAQs for Newcastle Great Park

Can you repair a hole in a bath?

Typically. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.

Will the repair show?

We aim for a repair you cannot easily find. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Can you repair a failed DIY repair?

Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Tell us about it when you send pictures.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you’ll get one combined price.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Do the materials smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

What areas do you cover?

Everywhere in the UK, Newcastle Great Park included. There is no extra charge for travel.

For landlords and businesses

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

If you manage property in Newcastle Great Park, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

Different materials, different repairs

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

The process

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Get a quote

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

What we can’t put right

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding

Aftercare tips

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:

  • Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth

For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine without abrasive products.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.

Signs you need bath repair in Newcastle Great Park

Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and building work is a common culprit. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: the bath is not properly supported, so it flexes under weight.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • A cracked acrylic bath
  • Rusty patches near the plughole
  • A chipped rim or side
  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

What your quote should include

  • How to care for the finish
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • Who turns up on the day
  • Whether they match the colour on site

10 questions to ask before booking

Repair or replace in Newcastle Great Park?

Swapping a damaged bath for a new one generally means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
