About our bath repair in Roybridge
Repairing baths is what we do most. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, typically in a single visit. We work on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel, and the jobs we see most are holes from dropped items and chips under the taps.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit.

Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
FAQs for Roybridge
What about rust by the waste?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Usually, yes. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Will the price change on the day?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Which areas do you work in?
All of Highland, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.
Why repair rather than replace?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is often needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Our bath repair starts from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
What you get with us
- A fixed quote before you book
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Honest advice, even when it means no job

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
What we cannot put right
We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

The process
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
Ask for a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:
- How many items we do on one visit
- How many areas need work
- Access to the area
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.
How to get a fixed price
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- A picture taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
- Something in shot to show the size
To get a price, send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
Landlord and trade work in Roybridge
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
For anyone letting property in or around Roybridge, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
