Bath repair in Russland without replacing anything
Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all repaired in place, normally in one visit. We regularly repair acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are damage beneath the taps and a kit repair that didn’t last.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

Common problems we fix in Russland
Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, and the damage is not always spotted until later. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

What a repair can’t fix
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A steel bath rusted through
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
What we work on

What we do, step by step
We turn up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a morning or an afternoon, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let us know about parking or access
Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We will say immediately whether it can be repaired.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, a new panel is frequently needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. A repair skips all of it. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Rinse it down after each bath
- Store metal items away from the bath
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and it can start to leak underneath.
