Bath repair at your home in the Orkney Islands
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. Most baths can be used again the next day. Our technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are rust spots where the enamel has gone and damage caused while the bathroom was being fitted.
Nearly all the chips we see comes from something dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust once water gets in. Acrylic baths crack when they flex, often around the taps or the plughole.
When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
Cost
Prices start from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
