When we would advise against a repair
It helps to know what we cannot do:

- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

How we handle bath repair in Saxby All Saints
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the following day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. Typical jobs include chips under the taps and rust spots around the plughole, across acrylic, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Saxby All Saints questions
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
What information do you need?
Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Saxby All Saints.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

The process
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we’re there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes two to three hours for most chips. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- Once it has cured, generally by the day after, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
How to get a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Repair or replace in Saxby All Saints?
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and replacing like for like isn’t cheap. Repairing it leaves it where it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine without abrasive products.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.
When to call us in Saxby All Saints
Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.
You may need us if you’ve spotted:
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
