Bath Repair for Shere homes
Chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths in Shere, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- Repairs from £95
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Chips along the edge of the bath

Work for landlords and builders
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.
Bath repair in Shere, done in place
Bath repair is our most common job. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. If you are dealing with a kit repair that didn’t last and hairline or through cracks in acrylic, we can usually put it right, whatever the material.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

Aftercare tips
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
What we do, step by step
Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take a few hours, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the next day.
Before we arrive
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Honest limits
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
FAQs for Shere
Do you work in Shere?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Shere. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.
How do I get a price for bath repair in Shere?
Repairs from £95. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.
How long does the repair take to cure?
Normally the following day. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
Do you need bath repair in Shere?
Baths take more knocks than people expect: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and taps and wastes are tightened against the surface. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Holes from dropped items
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
What to look for in a quote
- Who turns up on the day
- When it can be used again
- What aftercare is recommended
- How changes to the job are handled
Should you replace it?
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Usually it does not: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why Shere customers choose us

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
