Bath repair in Stoke D'Abernon without replacing anything

Repairing baths is what we do most. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. If you’re dealing with hairline or through cracks in acrylic and impact holes in acrylic, we can help.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Before and after: a chipped, rust-stained bath around the plughole

Repairs by material

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.

Stoke D'Abernon: your questions answered

I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?

Regularly. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.

Is a bath repair durable?

Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It carries our one-year guarantee.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

What areas do you cover?

The whole UK, including all of Surrey. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

How long before I can use the bath?

Most baths can be used the following day. We will tell you the exact curing time when we finish.

Can you match an avocado or pink bath?

Yes, coloured baths are no problem. We tint the finish to your bath on site.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.

Aftercare tips

Looking after the surface is easy:

  • Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
  • Store metal items away from the bath
  • Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
  • A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early

In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine without abrasive products.

Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water can’t get in. Remove it before the repair.

What a repair cannot fix

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

Repairing versus replacing in Stoke D'Abernon

A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim generally crack when it comes out, the panel may not fit the new one, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

Signs you need bath repair in Stoke D'Abernon

A cracked acrylic bath generally wasn’t supported properly. Legs that aren’t adjusted, a missing cradle or a soft floor let the base flex until the acrylic gives way.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • Deep scratches in acrylic

  • What prep work is covered
  • Who will actually do the work

Landlord and trade work in Stoke D'Abernon

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Surrey and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, and get on with the job, which usually takes a morning or an afternoon. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the following day, the bath is ready to use.

How to prepare

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
