Bath repair in Torquay without replacing anything
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and you can typically bathe again the following day. You won’t need a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. Common call-outs are for a chipped rim or side and damage beneath the taps, across acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Repair or replace in Torquay?
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Typically it does not: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Prices start from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Typically, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.
Is the work guaranteed?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.
When can you do it?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
A small chip is a quick job. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to Torquay. The price depends on:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- How much damage there is
- Unusual colours or finishes
- What kind of damage it is
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Getting a price from photos
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any details about the material
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
How the visit works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a few hours, depending on the damage. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, normally the following day.
Before we arrive
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
Ask for a price
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Most people get in touch when they notice something like this:
- Holes from dropped items
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- A cracked acrylic bath
