When to call us in Watford
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust.

About our bath repair in Watford
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. The method changes with the material: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. Whether it’s a kit repair that didn’t last and chips caused by builders, we can help.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will sort it.

Watford questions
Is there any odour?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the day after. We confirm the time before we leave.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.
Do you cover Watford?
We do. We send a technician to Watford for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
What happens after I send pictures?
We come back with a fixed price, normally with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.
Repairing versus replacing in Watford
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Why us?
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- A fixed quote before you book
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- Most jobs done in one visit

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.
Aftercare tips
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Store metal items away from the bath
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

What happens on the day
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes two to three hours for most chips, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Clear the area around the damage
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Have a window or extractor fan available
Ask for a price

What affects the price in Watford
Repairs from £95. You will know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Access to the area
- How many areas need work
- How hard the colour is to match
We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Where you are, by postcode
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
Work for landlords and builders
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
