Bath repair in Weeke without replacing anything

Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. The method changes with the material: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. If you are dealing with a kit repair that didn’t last and a cracked acrylic bath, we can normally put it right.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

What your bath is made of matters

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
  5. We leave it to cure; you can typically use the bath the next day.

How to prepare

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Advice

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • A steel bath rusted through
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic

Can I fix it myself?

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

When to call us in Weeke

Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and building work is a common culprit. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Damage beneath the taps
  • A cracked acrylic bath
  • A chipped rim or side
  • A hole punched through by something heavy

Questions to ask before you book

  • When it can be used again
  • Who will actually do the work
  • How the colour is matched
  • How the room is protected while they work

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Send pictures for a quote

You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Any details about the material
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or ring us. We will say straight away whether it can be repaired.
