Bath repair at your home in West Park
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and you can normally bathe again the following day. You will not need a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. Our technicians work on acrylic, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel, and the jobs we see most are rust spots around the plughole and a chip where the taps sit.
You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back.

Work for landlords and builders
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
What we can’t put right
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
Common problems we fix in West Park
Rust tends to begin where water collects, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Snagging damage from a refit
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for West Park. What changes the price is:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Doing more than one item at once
- How many areas need work
- The type of damage
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
Send pictures for a quote
When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- One picture of the entire bath
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
If you are in West Park and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

How it works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
Advice
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

Common questions in West Park
Will the repair show?
On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Can you repair a failed DIY repair?
Yes, we do this frequently. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
What happens if you find more damage?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, West Park included. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. In most cases it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Our bath repair starts from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to look after the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
Care for the repair the same way as the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water cannot get in. Take it off before we arrive.
