Bath Resealing for Balfron homes
Local bath resealing for Balfron: a fixed quote from photos, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- An untidy old seal
- Sealant that is split or lifting
- Black mould in the sealant

Bath resealing in Balfron, done in place
We cut out all of the old sealant, treat any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. Common call-outs are for sealant that’s split or lifting and an untidy old seal, on baths, wet rooms and basins & vanity units.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

Prices and what affects them
There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- The material
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Unusual colours or finishes
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
Phone photos are fine. Ensure they show:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Where you are, by postcode
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
How the visit works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a couple of hours. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Getting ready for the visit

Advice
FAQs for Balfron
How do I get a price for bath resealing in Balfron?
The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from photos. You will get a fixed figure before booking.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
Do you cover the whole of Stirling?
We cover the entire UK, including Balfron and the rest of Stirling. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will offer you dates.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Can new silicone go over old?
No, we never seal over old silicone. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.
Do you come to Balfron?
We do. We send a technician to Balfron for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
How do I stop mould in sealant?
Mould needs moisture. Run the fan, dry the joints and the new seal stays cleaner for longer.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Is resealing worth it?
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Different materials, different repairs
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Honest limits
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Hidden water damage
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- A flexing bath
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Basins & vanity units
- Baths
- Wet rooms
Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Keep the joints dry
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
- Use the extractor fan
Don’t scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and do not stand bottles on the seal.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, and we will say if you need a builder or plumber.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
