Bath resealing in Brighton and Hove

Bath resealing in Brighton and Hove, done in place

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. We work on baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and basins & vanity units, and people most frequently call us about missing sealant behind the taps and water getting behind the bath or tray.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

When a repair is not the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Gaps too big for silicone alone
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
  • A flexing bath

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in Brighton and Hove

  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.

How we price bath resealing

We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Send photos for a quote

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Any details about the material

To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

What we are called out for in Brighton and Hove

Most reseals are because of black mould. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning only removes the surface.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • Old sealant that looks dirty
  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • Black spots in the silicone

What your quote should include

  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges

Questions from Brighton and Hove

What information do you need?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

My seal keeps tearing. Why?

Something is moving. If it keeps happening, the support may need fixing.

How long will it take?

A bath or shower typically takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.

How the visit works

You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a couple of hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

How to get a price

Upload pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, with your BN3 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Advice

Why it’s worth resealing in Brighton and Hove

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why us?

  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Same prices wherever you are
