Bath resealing in Brook Street without replacing anything
We reseal baths, shower trays, basins and worktops using mould-resistant silicone. A typical reseal takes a couple of hours. Typical jobs include gaps by the taps and sealant that’s split or lifting, in kitchen worktops & sinks, wet rooms and basins & vanity units.
We guarantee the work for a year. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

What your bath or shower is made of matters
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, so the joint is at its widest.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.

Brook Street questions
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
What does bath resealing cost?
Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
How long does a reseal take?
Most reseals take about two hours. Leave it to cure before use.
How quickly can you book me in?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Can new silicone go over old?
No, we never seal over old silicone. It’s removed, cleaned off and the joint dried first.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
When a repair isn’t the answer
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- Hidden water damage
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- A flexing bath
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Baths
- Wet rooms
Looking after it afterwards
Simple care helps the repair last. Our advice:
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Open a window after bathing
- Use the extractor fan
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Work for landlords and builders
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Why it’s worth resealing in Brook Street
Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and that damage costs much more to fix. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book.

How it works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes around two hours. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Point us to the nearest place to park
