Bath resealing at your home in Brynteg

A fresh seal protects your bathroom. Old, split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and a new seal stops it. Typical jobs include an untidy old seal and discoloured, yellow sealant, in basins & vanity units, baths and kitchen worktops & sinks.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

What a repair can’t fix

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • Hidden water damage
  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first
  • A flexing bath

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Wet rooms
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Baths
  • Basins & vanity units

Common problems we fix in Brynteg

A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould takes hold.

Contact us if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • Gaps in the seal
  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • Mould you cannot clean out
  • A messy previous reseal

Common questions in Brynteg

How long does resealing take?

Most reseals take about two hours. Leave it to cure before use.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.

What areas do you cover?

All of Wrexham, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

What do you need from me?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.

Why does mould come back so fast?

Damp is the cause. Ventilation and drying keep it clean longer.

Do the materials smell?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help.

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Why reseal now?

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and mould stays trapped behind it. We remove the old sealant completely. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

Why Brynteg customers choose us

  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • No extra charge for your area
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

How the visit works

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes about two hours for a bath. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

How to prepare

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Prices and what affects them

There’s no area surcharge for Brynteg. The price reflects:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work
  • How hard the colour is to match

Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

Quotes from your pictures

You can take the photos on your phone. Just ensure we can see:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Details of any past repairs

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath or shower, we can give you a fixed price without visiting.
