Bath Resealing for Collfryn homes
Our repair technicians come to Collfryn for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.
- A messy previous reseal
- Gaps by the taps
- Stained silicone

How we handle bath resealing in Collfryn
Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Old, split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and resealing puts a stop to that. We’re frequently asked to fix stained silicone and water getting behind the bath or tray, on kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and shower trays & enclosures.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we have gone.

Different materials, different repairs
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, so the joint is at its widest.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the work takes about two hours for a bath. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Getting ready for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Ensure the room can be ventilated

What bath resealing costs
A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material and finish
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Collfryn. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Natural light rather than flash
- Any details about the material
- Where you are, by postcode
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and no obligation.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

How to look after the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Reseal when black spots will not clean off
- Keep the joints dry
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, typically around 24 hours.
Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
