How we price bath resealing
Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How many items we do on one visit
- The material
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:
- The material, if you know it
- Where you are, by postcode
- Something in shot to show the size
- Details of any past repairs
For a price in Dumbiedykes, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
What else we do in Dumbiedykes
For landlords and businesses
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Dumbiedykes as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.
Is resealing worth it?
Putting new silicone over old does not last. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why us?
- No extra charge for your area
- Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- Usually one visit, start to finish

Different materials, different repairs
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Baths
- Wet rooms
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
How the visit works
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes around two hours, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Before we arrive
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Point us to the nearest place to park
