Trusted bath resealing in Flaxby

Bath resealing in Flaxby, done in place

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. Typical jobs include damp near the bath and black mould in the sealant, on basins & vanity units, baths and wet rooms.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Questions from Flaxby

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it typically saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.

Do you work in Flaxby?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Flaxby and the rest of North Yorkshire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How long before I can shower?

You’ll get the curing time from us.

Can you price it without visiting?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Do you need bath resealing in Flaxby?

Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning can’t get it all out.

These are the problems we’re asked about most:

  • Mould you can’t clean out
  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • A messy previous reseal
  • Leaks at the edges

How to compare quotes

Prices and what affects them

A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of

Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Getting a price from pictures

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The material, if you know it
  • One picture of the entire bath or shower
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Honest limits

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Basins & vanity units
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Wet rooms
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Baths

DIY repairs versus a professional job

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

Aftercare tips

After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:

  • Store bottles on a shelf
  • Open a window after bathing
  • Use the extractor fan
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner

Good ventilation is the best protection, and wipe the joints after use.

Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

Why reseal now?

Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s a quick job that protects your walls and floors. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • One visit for most repairs
  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Same prices wherever you are

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

The process

There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will get on with it. The job generally runs to a couple of hours.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Open a window if you can
