Our technicians come to Gospel End for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.

Bath resealing in Gospel End, done in place
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant does not stick to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. Common call-outs are for water getting behind the bath or tray and mould you can’t clean out, on shower trays & enclosures, basins & vanity units and kitchen worktops & sinks.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Is resealing worth it?
Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Common questions in Gospel End
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.
How do I stop mould in sealant?
Usually poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. Mould-resistant silicone and good ventilation help.
What do you need from me?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Typically, yes. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Can tenants book a repair?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just make sure the landlord agrees.
What we can’t put right
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
- Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
- Baths
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Sinks and worktops
We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.
How the visit works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take around two hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, taps included.
Getting ready for the visit
- Open a window if you can
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
Ask for a price
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.
Related advice
Keeping it looking good
So the finish stays in good condition for years:
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Let steam out after showers
- Clean the sealant gently and regularly
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
Good ventilation is the best protection, and dry the joints after bathing to keep mould away.
Reseal before water gets in. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Dudley and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
