Bath Resealing for Great Wakering homes
Our repair technicians come to Great Wakering for bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Sealant that’s split or lifting
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- A messy previous reseal

How we handle bath resealing in Great Wakering
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint opens fully, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Whether it’s silicone coming away from the tiles and leaks at the edges, we can help, whatever the material.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll sort it.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
Do you need bath resealing in Great Wakering?
A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: damp hangs around, and mould grows faster.
Most people get in touch when they notice something like this:
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Mould you cannot clean out
- An untidy old seal
- Unsealed corners

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Different materials, different repairs
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Is resealing worth it?
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It soon peels, and mould stays trapped behind it. A proper reseal removes the old first. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Prices and what affects them
There is no charge for travel to Great Wakering. The price depends on:
- The type of damage
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Unusual colours or finishes
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It generally takes about two hours for a bath, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- We clean the joint and treat any mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- We apply new mould-resistant silicone and tool it to a neat finish, including around the taps.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Keep a parking space free if you can
