For landlords and businesses

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Common problems we fix in Heath

Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the silicone, so cleaning cannot get it all out.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed any of these:

  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • Sealant that’s split or lifting
  • Mould you cannot clean out
  • Silicone smeared on tiles

Comparing quotes

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

Resealing in Heath: why it matters

Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing normally costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

What you get with us

What a repair can’t fix

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Hidden water damage
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • Very wide gaps that need a trim

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Wet rooms
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Baths
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

How the visit works

There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a couple of hours, tidy-up included.

  1. We cut out all of the old sealant.
  2. We remove the residue and clean the joint.
  3. Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
  4. We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

Preparing for the visit

  • Open a window if you can
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Your questions about bath resealing in Heath

Do you come to Heath?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Heath and the rest of Derbyshire. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How much does bath resealing cost in Heath?

We give a fixed price from your photos. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your S44 postcode.

What happens next?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Do you seal over the old sealant?

All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the whole UK, including Heath and the rest of Derbyshire. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll offer you dates.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole bath or shower and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

How we price bath resealing

Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • Access to the area
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How much damage there is

Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Send pictures for a quote

Two or three clear pictures are typically enough. Try to include:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • One picture of the entire bath or shower
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • The material, if you know it

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath or shower, we can give you a fixed price.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
