How we handle bath resealing in Henbury
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint is at its widest, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. We regularly repair shower trays & enclosures, baths and kitchen worktops & sinks, and people most often call us about unsealed corners and an untidy old seal.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Henbury and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Can I fix it myself?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
Why reseal now?
Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why book with us

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.
How it works
On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take about two hours for a bath, including clearing up.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
How to prepare
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Getting a price

FAQs for Henbury
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
Can new silicone go over old?
All the old sealant comes out. Fresh silicone doesn’t stick to old.
How long does a reseal take?
Around two hours for a bath, then it needs to cure.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Is it messy?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
How quickly can you book me in?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Do you work in Henbury?
Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Henbury from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Hollow or loose tiles
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Wet rooms
- Basins & vanity units
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Baths
How we price bath resealing
We price every job individually, from your pictures. The main factors are:
- How hard the colour is to match
- The material
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Access to the area
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before you book.
Getting a price from pictures
You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:
- Where you are, by postcode
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- One picture of the whole bath or shower
Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your BS10 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
Keeping it looking good
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
For landlords and businesses
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Henbury as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
