Bath resealing in Lanark, done in place
Baths, trays, basins and kitchen worktops all get resealed, with mould-resistant sanitary silicone. Most jobs take a couple of hours. Our repair technicians work on basins & vanity units, wet rooms and kitchen worktops & sinks, and people most frequently call us about old sealant that looks dirty and an untidy old seal.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it.

Lanark: your questions answered
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Which areas do you work in?
We cover the entire UK, including Lanark and the rest of South Lanarkshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will offer you dates.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
Normally after around 24 hours. We confirm before we leave.
Can you quote from pictures?
Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
What happens if you find more damage?
Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
For landlords and businesses
Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Lanark as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.
Repairs by material
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Looking after it afterwards
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:
- Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
- Open a window after bathing
- Use the extractor fan
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
Avoid scraping the joints, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
What affects the price in Lanark
There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- The material and finish
- Whether we combine several jobs
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any details about the material
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath or shower, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

- Hollow or loose tiles
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is and protects the walls and floor. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You will see the full price before booking.

What we do, step by step
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take about two hours for a bath, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Before we arrive
- Clear the area around the damage
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
How to get a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Advice
Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
