Bath Resealing in Lichfield
Bath resealing in and around Lichfield: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Damp near the bath
- Unsealed corners
- A messy previous reseal

How we handle bath resealing in Lichfield
A proper reseal starts with removing every trace of the old silicone. New silicone won’t bond to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. Typical jobs include mould you can’t clean out and unsealed corners, across basins & vanity units, shower trays & enclosures and baths.
You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

What a repair cannot fix
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Very wide gaps that need a trim
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

What bath resealing costs
Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- What the surface is made of
- How many items we do on one visit
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The size and number of damaged areas
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- What it’s made of, if you know
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.
Is resealing worth it?
Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Repairs by material
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.
The process
We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you’re not left guessing. Once we’re there, the work takes around two hours. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- Next we clean the joint and deal with mould.
- The joint is dried thoroughly.
- We fill a bath with water before sealing so the gap is at its widest.
- We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, including around the taps.
Preparing for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Have a window or extractor fan available
Getting a price
For a price in Lichfield, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
Advice
Looking after it afterwards
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Use the extractor fan
- Let steam out after showers
- Keep bottles off the joints
Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
Work for landlords and builders
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Staffordshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Lichfield: your questions answered
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Do you work in Lichfield?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Lichfield and the rest of Staffordshire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Usually, yes. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Why does mould come back so fast?
Generally poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Can pets and children be at home?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
