Landlords, agents and businesses in Lindfield

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Lindfield use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

About our bath resealing in Lindfield

All of the old sealant is cut out, deal with any mould, and apply fresh mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. Whether it’s old sealant that looks dirty and gaps in the seal, we can help, on wet rooms, baths and kitchen worktops & sinks alike.

Signs you need bath resealing in Lindfield

Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning cannot get it all out.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Gaps by the taps
  • Black spots in the silicone
  • Damp near the bath
  • Old sealant that looks dirty

How to compare quotes

Lindfield: your questions answered

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

How long does a reseal take?

A bath or shower generally takes a couple of hours. It then needs time to cure.

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Why does my sealant keep splitting?

The bath or tray is probably flexing. If it keeps happening, the support may need fixing.

Do you work in Lindfield?

We do. We send a technician to Lindfield for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • Movement in the bath or tray
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Basins & vanity units
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Wet rooms
  • Baths
  • Shower trays & enclosures

Why reseal now?

Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It peels within weeks, and mould stays trapped behind it. We remove the old sealant completely. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking.

What you get with us

How to look after the repair

Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:

  • Replace the seal when mould sets in
  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Dry the seal after bathing
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers

Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.

DIY kit or professional repair?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

What we do, step by step

Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a couple of hours, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
