Bath resealing in Llanbeblig without replacing anything

The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. New silicone will not bond to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. Common call-outs are for discoloured, yellow sealant and gaps in the seal, across shower trays & enclosures, kitchen worktops & sinks and basins & vanity units.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Common questions in Llanbeblig

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

Do you charge for travel?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole bath or shower and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

How long does a reseal take?

Generally a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide, so Llanbeblig is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Do you cover Llanbeblig?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Llanbeblig and the rest of Gwynedd. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Different materials, different repairs

Baths

Baths are resealed with water in them, to open the joint fully.

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

What bath resealing costs

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Access to the area

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your photos

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A photo taken from further back

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

What we can’t put right

Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:

  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Baths
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Wet rooms
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks

Why reseal now?

Putting new silicone over old does not last. It peels within weeks, and mould stays trapped behind it. We remove the old sealant completely. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Why Llanbeblig clients choose us

What we do, step by step

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take about two hours for a bath. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
  3. We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.

Getting ready for the visit
