Bath resealing near Llangrove

Landlords, agents and businesses in Llangrove

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Herefordshire and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

How we handle bath resealing in Llangrove

Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Old, split or mouldy sealant lets water get behind the bath or tray, and resealing puts a stop to that. Common call-outs are for silicone smeared on tiles and unsealed corners, in kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and baths.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

What affects the price in Llangrove

We do not charge extra for travel to Llangrove. The price depends on:

  • Access to the area
  • The type of damage
  • How much damage there is
  • The colour and finish to match

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • What it’s made of, if you know

For a price in Llangrove, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Common questions in Llangrove

What happens after I send pictures?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.

What information do you need?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?

Mould needs moisture. Ventilation and drying keep it clean longer.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Herefordshire.

Is a repair better than a new one?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK. Prices do not change with location.

Common problems we fix in Llangrove

Even good sealant eventually discolours. Steam, soap and movement all wear it down.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • Discoloured, yellow sealant
  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles
  • Mould you cannot clean out

What to look for in a quote

  • Aftercare advice
  • How long it needs to cure
  • How the colour is matched
  • Who turns up on the day

Repairs by material

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, and get on with the job, which usually takes around two hours. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
  2. We clean the joint and treat any mould.
  3. We make sure the joint is completely dry.
  4. For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
  5. New mould-resistant silicone goes on and is tooled to a neat finish, including around the taps.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Why book with us

  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

See our prices page.

Aftercare tips

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Open a window after bathing
  • Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Give the seal a regular clean

Run the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.

Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. There may be more going on, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
