About our bath resealing in Lydd-on-Sea
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. We regularly repair baths, basins & vanity units and shower trays & enclosures, and common reasons people get in touch are discoloured, yellow sealant and damp near the bath.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Aftercare tips
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
- Open a window after bathing
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Ventilate the bathroom well
Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Reseal before water gets in. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
What bath resealing costs
We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The material and finish
- The size and number of damaged areas
- What kind of damage it is
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
Send photos for a quote
Phone pictures are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.
Why reseal now?
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. We remove the old sealant completely. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
