Bath resealing in Mere Side, done in place
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. If you are dealing with damp near the bath and a messy previous reseal, we can help, whatever the material.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Mere Side as everywhere else we work.

What affects the price in Mere Side
Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. What matters most is:
- How much damage there is
- Doing more than one item at once
- The colour and finish to match
- What the surface is made of
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- Details of any past repairs
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Where you are, by postcode
Upload photos of the damage and one of the whole item, with your L40 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
Work for landlords and builders
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
Looking after it afterwards
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Let steam out after showers
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Give the seal a regular clean
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
Use the extractor fan, wipe the joints dry after use, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem; it shows moisture is getting in. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
Resealing in Mere Side: why it matters
Resealing costs very little, and it protects everything around the bath. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

When a repair isn’t the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- A flexing bath
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures

Mere Side questions
Can landlords book you?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
Do you work in Mere Side?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Mere Side. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.
My seal keeps tearing. Why?
The bath or tray is probably flexing. Persistent splitting can mean the support needs attention.
How soon can you come?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.
Is there a call-out fee?
There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
How the visit works
On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes a couple of hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- We fill the bath, or weight the tray, to open the joint.
- We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.
Before we arrive
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Let us know about parking or access
Getting a price
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
