What affects the price in Morfa

We charge the same across the UK, including Morfa. What changes the price is:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work
  • The colour and finish to match

Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

How to get a fixed price

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • Any details about the material
  • Details of any past repairs
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Upload a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in Morfa, and we will reply with a fixed price.

About our bath resealing in Morfa

A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. Our technicians work on wet rooms, kitchen worktops & sinks and basins & vanity units, and people most frequently call us about discoloured, yellow sealant and a messy previous reseal.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it.

Common problems we fix in Morfa

Black mould is the most common reason people reseal. It grows into the sealant itself, so cleaning can’t get it all out.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Missing sealant behind the taps
  • A messy previous reseal
  • Sealant that is split or lifting
  • Damp near the bath

What your quote should include

  • How the colour is matched
  • What preparation is included
  • If travel is included in the price
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?

When we’d advise against a repair

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
  • Loose tiles, which need refixing first

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms
  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Baths

Landlord and trade work in Morfa

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Gwynedd and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, with the joint fully dried first.

Shower trays

We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.

Morfa: your questions answered

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Do you come to Morfa?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Morfa from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

What happens after I send pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Normally, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.

Why does the silicone keep cracking?

Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We fill the bath before sealing it.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

How the visit works

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a couple of hours, tidy-up included.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Is resealing worth it?

Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It soon peels, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
