Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Old Town, Greater London
Bath resealing in and around Old Town: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Black spots in the silicone
- Damp near the bath
- Discoloured, yellow sealant

About our bath resealing in Old Town
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. Common call-outs are for sealant that’s split or lifting and a messy previous reseal, on shower trays & enclosures, kitchen worktops & sinks and basins & vanity units.
We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit.

Why it’s worth resealing in Old Town
Putting new silicone over old doesn’t last. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.
Why book with us
- No need to remove anything
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Same prices wherever you are

How to care for the repair
Nothing complicated is needed:
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Use the extractor fan
- Air the room after use
- Keep the joints dry
Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and clean them regularly with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
When to call us in Old Town
Joints split if the bath or tray moves, often because it was sealed with the bath empty.
Clients typically contact us about:
- Silicone coming away from the tiles
- Stained silicone
- A messy previous reseal
- Unsealed corners

What bath resealing costs
We charge the same across the UK, including Old Town. What changes the price is:
- How many items we do on one visit
- How many areas need work
- The type of damage
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
How to get a fixed price
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One picture of the entire bath or shower
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One sharp close-up of the damage
To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.
Sinks and worktops
Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

How the visit works
We agree an arrival time beforehand. Once we’re there, the work takes a couple of hours for most jobs. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.
How to prepare
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Getting a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Your questions about bath resealing in Old Town
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Typically, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send photos.
What happens next?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire bath or shower and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
How long before I can shower?
Normally about a day later. We confirm before we leave.
