Need bath resealing in Peckham?

For landlords and businesses

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Bath resealing in Peckham without replacing anything

Resealing is quick, but it transforms the look. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they keep water out. We’re often asked to fix sealant that’s split or lifting and discoloured, yellow sealant, on baths, kitchen worktops & sinks and wet rooms.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll come back.

How it works

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes a couple of hours. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. We clean, treat and dry the joint.
  4. Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Let us know about parking or access

Prices and what affects them

Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from pictures

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

What your bath or shower is made of matters

Baths

We fill the bath before sealing, to open the joint fully.

Sinks and worktops

Basins, vanity units and kitchen worktops are resealed too, once the joint is completely dry.

Resealing in Peckham: why it matters

Putting new silicone over old does not last. It peels within weeks, and traps mould underneath. A proper reseal removes the old first. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Keeping it looking good

So the finish stays in good condition:

  • Dry the seal after bathing
  • Run the extractor fan during and after showers
  • Reseal when black spots won’t clean off
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner

Keep the room well ventilated, and wipe the joints after use so mould struggles to take hold.

Mouldy sealant is more than a cosmetic problem, it’s a sign moisture is sitting in the joint. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

Signs you need bath resealing in Peckham

Joints split if the bath or tray moves, often because it was sealed with the bath empty.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Peckham.

Do you work in Peckham?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Peckham and the rest of Greater London. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Why does the silicone keep cracking?

Something is moving. Persistent splitting can mean the support needs attention.

Do you cover the entire of Greater London?

Across the UK, and that includes Peckham. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Is there any odour?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, we frequently do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Generally, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

How much does bath resealing cost in Peckham?

Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
