Bath Resealing for Pen-y-ffridd homes
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone in Pen-y-ffridd, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.

What we cannot put right
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
- Movement in the bath or tray
- Loose tiles, which need refixing first
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.
Materials we repair
- Basins & vanity units
- Wet rooms
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Baths
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
Bath resealing in Pen-y-ffridd without replacing anything
The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why many DIY jobs peel. If you’re dealing with sealant that’s split or lifting and stained silicone, we can help, on wet rooms, baths and kitchen worktops & sinks alike.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Why reseal now?
Compared with repairing water damage, resealing is cheap. It’s quick, tidy and protects your home. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What affects the price in Pen-y-ffridd
Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- What the surface is made of
- What kind of damage it is
- How hard the colour is to match
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Pen-y-ffridd. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Shower trays
We put weight on a tray before sealing it, for the same reason.
Baths
Baths are resealed with water in them, so the joint is at its widest.
DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Common questions in Pen-y-ffridd
How long does resealing take?
Normally a couple of hours, then it needs to cure.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
Normally after around 24 hours. We confirm before we leave.
Will the price change on the day?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Are you accredited?

Keeping it looking good
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Air the room after use
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
Keep the room well ventilated, and dry the joints after bathing so mould struggles to take hold.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
