Bath resealing in Reraig without replacing anything
A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. We’re often asked to fix leaks at the edges and gaps in the seal, across shower trays & enclosures, baths and basins & vanity units.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Reraig and across Highland.

Is resealing worth it?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is, and it protects everything around the bath. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What we do, step by step
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It generally takes about two hours for a bath, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.
Before we arrive
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Let us know about parking or access
- Have a window or extractor fan available
Getting a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Related advice
When a repair isn’t the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Movement in the bath or tray
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Basins & vanity units
- Baths
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Wet rooms
Work for landlords and builders
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

Keeping it looking good
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Replace the seal when mould sets in
Run the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Damp below or loose tiles need checking quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we’ll tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Baths
We fill the bath before sealing, so the joint is at its widest.
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.
Do you need bath resealing in Reraig?
In time, even good sealant discolours particularly in a well-used bathroom. Steam, soap and movement all wear it down.

- Mould you can’t clean out
