For landlords and businesses
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Small Heath as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Bath resealing at your home in Small Heath
We reseal baths, shower trays, basins and worktops using mould-resistant silicone. A typical reseal takes a couple of hours. We work on wet rooms, baths and kitchen worktops & sinks, and the jobs we see most are black spots in the silicone and gaps by the taps.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

How we price bath resealing
A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:
- The colour and finish to match
- How much damage there is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material and finish
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
Quotes from your photos
You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A photo taken from further back
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We will say immediately whether it can be repaired.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Why reseal now?
A reseal is one of the cheapest bathroom jobs there is. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Small Heath. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why book with us
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- No need to remove anything
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

Looking after it afterwards
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Use the extractor fan
- Keep the joints dry
- Don’t stand toiletries on the seal
- Reseal when black spots will not clean off
Good ventilation is the best protection, and dry the joints after bathing.
Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly. Resealing early keeps water out of the walls and floor.
When we’d advise against a repair
A repair is not right for every job, for example:
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Gaps too big for silicone alone
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
What we work on
- Wet rooms
- Baths
- Basins & vanity units
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures
Do you need bath resealing in Small Heath?
Even good sealant eventually discolours. Steam, soap and movement all wear it down.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Silicone smeared on tiles
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Black spots in the silicone
- Sealant that’s split or lifting
Questions to ask before you book
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- What happens if they find more damage
- How your room will be protected
The process
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes about two hours for a bath, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We cut out all of the old sealant.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Open a window if you can
