Bath Resealing for Spitalfields homes
Bath, shower and sink resealing with new mould-resistant silicone at your home in Spitalfields, with a one-year guarantee on every repair.
- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Sealant that is split or lifting
- Gaps by the taps

Can I fix it myself?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Bath resealing in Spitalfields, done in place
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint opens fully, so the seal doesn’t tear when the bath is first used. Whether it’s damp near the bath and discoloured, yellow sealant, we can usually put it right, on shower trays & enclosures, wet rooms and baths alike.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

FAQs for Spitalfields
What happens next?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.
Why does my sealant keep splitting?
Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We seal baths full of water.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
Normally after around 24 hours. We will tell you the exact time.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
What areas do you cover?
The whole UK, including all of Greater London. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.
Will the price change on the day?
If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
How do I book?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.
How to care for the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Store bottles on a shelf
Don’t scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and keep shampoo bottles off the joints.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. There may be more going on, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
For landlords and businesses
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Prices and what affects them
There’s no charge for travel to Spitalfields. The price depends on:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How many areas need work
- How many items we do on one visit
Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send pictures for a quote
You can take the photos on your phone. Just make sure we can see:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Natural light rather than flash
- Where you are, by postcode
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Resealing in Spitalfields: why it matters
Resealing is a small job. Leaving split or mouldy sealant can let water reach the walls and floor, and that damage costs much more to fix. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

The process
We work cleanly and quietly. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes about two hours for a bath. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- First we strip out every bit of the old mastic.
- We clean the joint and treat any mould.
- We dry the joint thoroughly.
- Baths are filled with water first, so the joint is at its widest.
- We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, taps included.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
Ask for a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath or shower, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
